The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with hemophilia and related bleeding disorders. The HemoAction games were developed to help children learn about hemophilia in a fun, easy to understand, and interactive way. They can also be used by parents, nurses, and other healthcare providers to reinforce key concepts about the disease and its management. Children will also learn not to fear treatment by infusion and gain confidence and self-worth through educational play.
The companion HemoAction playing cards, originally produced in 2003 by Frederica Cassis, psychologist of the Hemophilia Centre at Hospital das Clinicas in Brazil, have been reproduced by the WFH in five languages. To order a set of playing cards or for more information, visit the WFH website at www.wfh.org.
